IMAGES and COPYRIGHT

Photographs / images produced by HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY are protected by Copyright Law (all rights reserved) and owns exclusive rights to all property that is created. Upon final payment by CLIENTS, CLIENTS are allowed to display resulting images for personal use. Said images may not be altered or reproduced in any manner without prior written permission of HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY, which includes changing photos colouring including changing to black and white, adding filters or removing watermarks on social media. Any changes by the CLIENTS to the overall look of an image is not allowed as it does not represent the work delivered by HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY. CLIENTS may share and a tag photo on social media, provided HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY is credited. CLIENTS will receive high-resolution files, via Online Gallery or USB with printing rights. Printing and Screen capturing directly from the Online Gallery or from Social Media is a breach of copyright. When publishing the photos socially or commercially, HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY must be noted as the photographer. The CLIENTS must obtain written permission from HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY prior to the CLIENTS, their associates, friends or relatives selling the photographs and for other businesses using any of the photos for Commercial Use. 

HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY is entitled to use the property for general promotional purposes on website, social media posts, general advertising or competitions. If the CLIENTS do not wish to photos images used for privacy reasons, please discuss with HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY to have privacy measures put in place.

HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY does not provide any unedited images (RAW) to CLIENTS, as it does not represent the quality HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY strives for. HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY takes pride in the edited images, and images will not be delivered if they do not meet HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY’s quality standards. HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY’s edited images include colour correction, colour enhancements, exposure correction, shadow and highlight recovery, lens correction, and a little artistic flare. HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY’s edited images do not include retouched or photoshopped images unless stated in the package purchased. Please note, HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY may retouch a handful of photos within a collection. Eg. HOLLIE SMITH PHOTOGRAPHY will edit a large pimple, or smooth the skin on what she thinks to be “the money shot”. For photoshopping/retouching please get in touch with HOLLIE SMITH for her services.
